Favorite quote of the day so far

It's 7:43 and we're getting ready to go to Portland with Kate & Adam. Already we have a favorite quote of the day...and we've barely even started our day.
Kate turns to Adam and says: WAS THAT SOUND YOUR MOUTH OR BAILEYS BUTT??
*Bailey is our German Shepherd. Rest assured we investigated...it was Bailey's butt.

Mock Dining In Photos

Katie and I went to a dinner at the American Lake Community Center on North Fort Lewis on the 17th. It was a "mock dining in" which makes fun of the dining in tradition in the Army. We were there with Keith's unit, the 1st Special Forces Group, Airborne and our unit theme for the event was "First In Asia" since that's our area of responsibility. Katie and I rented Kimonos from a local costume shop and had a great time!!

Hi. :) Nothing much to report here. Keith's been gone for 16 days now and we have 9 to go!! He's been on lockdown so I haven't heard a thing from him since Superbowl Sunday. :P

I'm keeping busy, working with his unit family readiness group and trying new recipes. I've always just done what was easy but decided my cooking was boring so I'm trying new stuff now. Keith'll be totally jealous when my roommates tell him all the great stuff I cooked while he was gone...hehe. I'm about to head to the grocery store, woohoo. Hope everyone's doing great! Happy Valentine's Day!!

I took this picture in December. It's our resident volcano, Mt. Ranier. This is the view from the PX parking lot. The clouds do this a lot over Ranier. The best part of this picture is I went to see Keith right after I took this and he wouldnt let me talk or show him my picture yet because he was so excited about a picture he had taken on his phone...and it was the same view of the Mountain, clouds and everything. We laughed really hard.

Guess even Olympic Champions get caught. What a dumbass to let someone take his picture. It's like that supermodel that let someone take her picture snorting crack...Kate something...
I mean, is it only my common sense, or everyone's...if you don't want people to know that you did something...or you know it's so wrong that you will get in trouble for it:
DON'T LET ANYONE SEE YOU DOING IT...
OR IF THEY DO SEE YOU, DON'T LET THEM TAKE YOUR PICTURE!!!
