I finally just had to change my status on my msn messenger from "unpacking" to something else because people keep saying "are you really still unpacking?" Yes, dammit. I am. It drives me nuts that we're not done yet. I have always had my house unpacked and put together, ready for company a week after a move and this time it's been 2 months. There are still boxes in the garage, empty and full. Stuff is randomly strewn around my house in piles that "I'll get to" and my closets are a disaster. I just found another HUGE box of clothes and so now that is strewn across my bedroom floor. I need to clone myself. 1 of me for each room and off we go...oi vey.
On a positive note my Katie and my Jimmy will be here in a couple weeks and a couple weeks after that so will Grandma, Tara & Aunt Sue. I HAVE TO HAVE THIS DONE. Motivation will definitely help. I'm an interestingly complex person when it comes to my house. I want everything in its place and a nice presentable house but I'm a total slob if I'm not careful. I think I'm naturally lazy. I love the way my house looks when its picked up but if I am not 100% careful to clean up after myself I leave stuff everywhere. I've been sick for a week and in my living room are cups and cracker packages, everywhere. Its like I just shut down when I was sick. Plants didn't get watered, dishes didn't get done...laundry, HA! That's that big pile in the living room that the dogs have been "nesting" on. They're gonna be pissed when I wash and put away their new bed. Poor puppies...

NEAT FREAK, can you say that? Because that's what I am, and finnally 6 months later, I just unpacked the last box and got my home office room cleaned and organized and put pictures up on the wall! But our guest bedroom? That's another story. The bed isn't put together, and the room itself is filled with empty flattened boxes, Christmas decorations and yard sale stuff. And don't get me started on the garage, but that's really Brian's domain so I try not to think about it. Hope you are feeling better. Loveya!
Don't you have a husband to help with chores like dishes when you're sick? You need to tell him to lock it up!
